In partnership with Black Mountain Presbyterian Church, Hands and Feet of Asheville is pleased to announce the hiring of Christina Redman as the Mentorship Manager for their young adult service corps through May.
The BMPC Service Corps is dedicated to delivering essential disaster relief in the wake of Hurricane Helene through three key pillars of focus:
Supply Distribution – We ensure critical supplies reach individuals and organizations in need, providing timely aid to support immediate recovery efforts.
Volunteer Coordination – We mobilize and connect volunteers with local projects and organizations, fostering community-driven recovery and long-term resilience.
Relief Organization Support & Networking – We collaborate with and strengthen other relief organizations in the Swannanoa Valley, building a unified response to disaster recovery efforts.

Christina Redman holds a B.S. in Psychology from Montreat College and an M.A. in Christian Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. With over 15 years of experience working with young adults, she has developed a mentorship approach rooted in space-holding, deep listening, and compassionate partnership.
Her passion for service has led her to work in disaster relief both internationally and domestically, most recently in McDowell County following Hurricane Helene. Currently, she serves as the Partnership & Events Coordinator at Camp Grier in Old Fort, NC, where she organized The Old Fort Strong Endurance Festival, raising funds to rebuild homes lost in Helene.
Christina is honored to support the BMPC Service Corps as they continue providing essential resources and aid to the Swannanoa Valley. A 17-year resident of Western North Carolina, she deeply loves the mountains and the small towns that make up the region. To recharge, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her Australian Shepherd, Milo, exploring trails and streams.
